Jenna: There were two incredibly magical audition scenes and one of them was the one Rainn’s talking about that we did, where he was hitting on me, and the other one was the one I did with John by the fax machine.
John: You can’t see it on the DVD but I’m blushing.
Jenna: It was amazing. And immediately when I met John at the audition I like, picked him out right away as like, being the guy who was gonna get Jim. There was just something about him. And then after I did a couple of scenes with him—
John: There was a t-shirt that said, “I’m Jim.”
Jenna: —he was so good and when we walked out doing that scene together by the fax machine, he turned to me and he said, “I really hope you get the role of Pam.” And I was so excited because I thought that the guy who I knew was gonna get the role of Jim was rooting for me, and then we were rooting for each other. And the first question I asked when I got cast was, “Did John Krasinski get the role of Jim?”
John: Oh my God.
Jenna: And I was so excited.
John: Now I’m crying.
